Abstract
More than 36 years ago, the Ministry of Health established the Radiation Protection Program to enhance prevention against health risks, which is one of the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Health. This is to protect health practitioners, patients, the public and the environment from ionizing and non-ionizing radiation exposure hazard, and the obligation to apply the instructions for radiation protection in governmental and private health facilities and follow up the implementation of these instructions. In addition to control and monitoring of radioactive activities in the range of health facilities in terms of preventive, security, administrative and technical terms. Furthermore, providing knowledge and technical support during the response to radiological and nuclear disasters emergency with the relevant authorities, issuing evidence and instructions, securing equipment and equipment, and attracting workers for this field and training and dispatching them. This is in turn had an impact on radiation safety indicator (FMS9) of local and international accreditation parties, where it reaches advanced positions until it became the first in 2019.
